Butt welding is a technique used to join two components together (also known as ‘jointing’). The idea is to connect the two parts but not to overlap the ends.

A butt-welding joint is made by gradually heating up the two weld ends with a weld plate and then joining them under a specific pressure and time.

We currently own the following butt-welding systems:

  1. PN 160 – caters for HDPE pipes sizes from 40-160 mm
  2. PN 355 – caters for HDPE pipes sizes from 110-355 mm
  3. PN 450 – caters for HDPE pipes sizes from 250-450 mm
  4. PN 630 – caters for HDPE pipes sizes from 315-630 mm
  5. PN 1000 – caters for HDPE pipes sizes from 630-1000 mm

Electrofusion is a method of joining HDPE and other plastic pipes using special fittings that have built-in electric heating elements which are used to weld the joint together.

Extrusion welding is one of the processes used to weld thermoplastics and composites, it is an evolution of hot gas welding.

We have in house electro-fusion & extrusion welding equipment
